Letters of Evaluation
Please note that meaningful letters of recommendation can generally only be issued if the referee (lecturer) is familiar with you, for example, through participation in a seminar, small courses, or the completion of a thesis. In other cases, statements can usually only be made about your position within the respective grade distribution.
Requests for letters of recommendation to the lecturer should include the following information:
- Indication of the lecturer's courses attended
- Current transcript of records and CV as a PDF attachment
- Purpose of the letter of recommendation: e.g., Master's application, application for a study abroad program, including a letter of motivation
- Submission procedures / forms / links to online forms of the receiving institutions
Letters of recommendation are only sent directly to the receiving institutions. Please allow at least three weeks for processing. Please note that the following departments may publish specific procedures on their websites:
