Short Bio
Richard Franke (PhD, Kiel University) is a postdoctoral researcher in economics at the University of Cologne and a team member of the ERC project „ENTRENCHED: Elite Capture and Social Mobility“. Before joining the University of Cologne, he worked at Trinity College Dublin, the Centre for Economics, Policy and History (CEPH), the University of Bayreuth and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. His research is at the intersection of economic history, regional economics, labour and demographic economics.
