Graphisches Slider Element

The CGS-E is part of the Cologne Graduate School (CGS) in Management, Economics, and Social Sciences and administers the integrated graduate program in economics. This program is run in cooperation with the Young ECONtribute program of the Cluster of Excellence “ECONtribute: Markets and Policy" to foster excellence in graduate education and provide an inspiring environment for young economists.

The Cluster brings together outstanding researchers from economics and neighboring disciplines – management, psychology, political science and law – from the Universities of Cologne and Bonn, the Behavior and Inequality Research Institute (briq) and the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods, with the goal of establishing a leading international research center on markets & public policy. One explicit goal of the Cluster of Excellence is to provide broad support for students who wish to pursue a career in academia or in a high-level policy institution.

The CGS-E has also a collaboration with the The International Max Planck Research School on Behavorially Smart Institutions (IMPRS BeSmart) and offers in a joint project doctoral postions starting in October 2020.
